Evaluation

                   EVALUATION

7

Evaluation is the stage that comes after learning has completed, it places us on the spectrum that shows whether learning has taken place or not. It shows those grey areas where the teacher and the learner both have to put equal efforts to excel. Of course every learner and their teachers wants to be on the positive side of the spectrum as it shows their efficiency and effectiveness. It has been often noticed that the mad race among the learners is not for knowledge but for the acknowledgement that they have successfully completed the race. The curiosity and urge for learning is taking backstage that's where the process takes place but unfortunately the refinement process is often considered secondary and what matters is the ultimate product ( clearing the exams).

Whether evaluation is really necessary?

Many philosophers are of the view that it's not at all necessary. But the pragmatic view is that it's absolutely necessary as it opens the vistas of the material world to earn a living and make a good fortune.

Parents, educators and the educational institutions with their constant bombardment hammer the students to bring out their best. The number game gives them the momentary pleasure but it takes the toll on the young minds. At the same time its a huge market where assurances are sold for a huge price.

Preparation for life.

Why not teach our students to face the game of life? It's the world outside waiting for them with varied opportunities and challenges. Let us prepare them for the real world, teach them to correlate their knowledge from different sources to tackle situations instead of giving them everything readymade. Why not make them find out the solutions themselves ? Students should be keen observers of the real world around them ,they should learn how to open up different channels of communications and master different languages.

At first, performers like fire breathers and jugglers brought delight, Aerialists — trapeze artists and acrobats — amazed the little ones with their flights. But soon, the strongman gave a stern look to the tightrope walker . The magician tried to douse the fire breather’s flame. The clowns — once beloved — entered the ring, And played the worst trumpet known to fame. Their friendly tussle turned too real, Peace, to them, was an unfunny deal. As with world leaders who, too, reject stillness, Addicted to noise, chaos, and the ringing of cash registers. Amid the uproar, the absence of the Ring Master was deeply felt. A cry rose from the crowd — where was he? Behind the dark curtains, a shadow stirred, And from it emerged the Ring Master, finally. With a whip crack and silent grace, Even the furious clowns froze in place. Normalcy returned, laughter r...

The Gini and Me

The Gini and Me I once opened a bottle and a gini came out. The stories I believed as a child melted quietly in my youth— never real, yet never forgotten. As I slided toward maturity, AI gripped the world around me. I want to bottle AI. Remove it, use it, pack it again and again— like a tool, not a tether. Let me feel the wind with skin, not sensors. Let me fail, foolishly, and laugh with no algorithm watching. Let me look as I am— with no filters. Let me be a human— with a brain and a beating, perseverance spider.

Essence of life

A contemplative poem on life journey. Essence of life lies in moving on — from stages of attachment to detachment , desires to nothingness , compulsion to repulsion , selfishness to generosity , darkness to enlightenment , fakeness to authenticity , certainty to uncertainty , vocal to silence — and sometimes, just being an observer and not being judgemental.
